Florafibre

Florafibre contains a microscopic organism found naturally in the digestive tract called Lactobacillus acidophilus; their function is to help protect us against the constant onslaught of harmful bacteria, viruses, fungi yeast and toxins. Also known as ‘friendly flora’ these beneficial bacteria contribute to the bulk of bowel movements and also assist in extracting various nutrients from the food that we eat. Fibre has been added to this supplement to take advantage of the known beneficial combination of good bacteria and fibre which promote balance on the intestinal tract.
This product may be beneficial to you if:
• You are suffering the tell-tales signs of a digestive system in distress – bloating, wind, cramps, constipation, flatulence, headaches, water retention and weight gain.

Key ingredients –
Lactobacillus acidophilus – enhances the body’s ability to control pathogenic micro-organisms and help to support immune function. Acidophilus is found naturally in fermented foods, such as yoghurt and sauerkraut and is regarded as the most beneficial and versatile of the Lactobacilli family of ‘friendly’ bacteria.
Cellulose – complex carbohydrate (dietary fibre) Cellulose can’t be broken down by gastric juices and therefore helps with the evacuation of waste products from the digestive tract.
Psyllium Seed Husks – herbalists consider Psyllium to be one of the richest sources of dietary fibre available in any food.
Apple Pectin – good source of soluble fibre.
Anorak facts:
We have several hundred different types of bacteria, weighing up to 2kg, resident in our intestinal tract, some live permanently in the gut while others pass through, servicing the system as they go. The speed at which foods are processed and passed out of the body as stool is pivotal; the quicker the process happens, the less time there is for putrification and undesirable bacterial growth in the intestines. Healthy digestion ad elimination of foods should ideally be complete within 24 hours. If there is an imbalance of bacteria or lack of dietary fibre, this transit time can increase 72 hours and beyond.
